JOE CHRISMAN, CFA

Co-Managing Partner

Joe leads the firm’s marketing and client communication efforts, and is a member of the firm’s Executive and Investment Committees. In addition to managing client relationships, Joe trains teammates to optimize client outcomes, and guides advisor development to advance careers as well as grow firm business.

Prior to Monograph, Joe was Senior Vice-President, Senior Advisor and Co-Chair of the Investment Committee of Beverly Hills-based RIA, LourdMurray. During his five-year tenure, he developed and led integration of a wealth planning platform to cater to ultra-high net worth clients, and helped the firm grow from $250 million AUM to over $3.3 billion. He oversaw investment strategies for 500+ families, and directly advised the firm’s largest clients. 

Joe spent the first ten years of his career at Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA) and served as a Regional Director, working with Financial Advisor and Family Office clients to develop investment strategies for the most complex clients, and to construct business processes to run practices more effectively.

His expertise encompasses investment, tax, estate, philanthropic and retirement-planning strategies, as well as counseling clients on a variety of private equity and real estate transactions.  Joe is a CFA Charterholder and recently served as President of the Beverly Hills Council of Estate and Wealth Planners, of which he has been a member since 2011.  He serves as a board member of First Break Academy, and as a founding advisory board member of Conservation International’s Surf Conservation Partners.

Joe actively competes in tennis on a national level and continues to support the tennis teams he represented at U.C. Berkeley and Cornell University. He earned a Bachelor of Science with a focus on Applied Economics from Cornell University.

Joe and his wife, Kelly, are lucky to have three young, healthy and very active children.
